  Windows default is to download updates and then share those updates to the web. It’s not a bug.

  Another question that cannot be answered without more information. What physical hardware and internet provider is in use? Is this a recent development? Any recent hardware/software changes? Be more specific about these “spikes”.

    the provider i use is frontier the hardware i am using is a wireless extender from the main router, there hasnt been any changes to my software or hardware, also about the spikes the go form 75 ping to 800 out of the blue.

      WiFi is subject to interference. Re-test without WiFi to see if it’s your PC, ISP or router.
